Introduction and Background
Chelmer is a New Zealand based company specialising in financial services technology solutions. Employing approximately 30 staff, the Chelmer head office is located in Auckland, New Zealand. Since 1999, Chelmer has been 50% owned by staff and 50% owned by the publicly listed global registry company, Computershare (CPU.AX). This combination provides the benefits of stability, strength and recognition of a global organisation with the expertise and knowledge of local management.
Chelmer originated in 1988, to provide services and support of front end trading systems used by the New Zealand banking and financial markets community. Chelmer, from its originating background of being a service and support provider to the financial services industry, diversified into software development in 1996, and subsequently, consultancy and support services.
